On Monday I stopped at Rite Aid to purchase a very basic item, Tylenol PM. They had none on the shelf. I promptly left, opened the Amazon App on my phone and had it delivered to my house the next day. In the near future Amazon will be providing same day delivery. That will be remembered the next time I consider going to Rite Aid. With medical prescriptions my doctor sends them to my online pharmacy and a 90 day supply is delivered in 3-5 days at the same cost as a 30 day supply. I click on some check boxes for refills with the same result. Elon Musk and his companies achieve unbelievable results. Self driving cars, space exploration, underground tunnels for mass transit that are done in much shorter time at substantially less costs and more.
Needless to say, companies like these are changing everyone's expectations of how business should be done and what customer service should be.
My stop at Rite Aid was thought provoking. What should I be doing to better serve my clients? The answer hasn't presented itself but rest assured that this has become my top priority. What are your thoughts?
